Therefore, an important milestone in development was the transition to the LTE standard in 2010. There were no particular problems, even the frequencies that were being tested were switched to WiMAX. Then, it has become easier for customers to own data: now it is enough to insert a valid SIM card into one of the most popular models of gadgets.
However, a wide expansion covering the regions of the region was not achieved: the opening of the measures in Kazan was faced with problems of an administrative nature and was delayed for several months. But the company did not give up: in 2011, the company agreed with the Big Three operators about the development of 4G networks in Russia.
The same family had a hard time trying to enter the Belarusian market, which, however, did not succeed in getting through and the fate was already burnt out in 2012.
Financial indicators did not in any way dampen the company’s core business, and in 2012 the partnership was achieved with the operator Megafon, which at that time was showing an active interest in the development of the fourth generation. As a result of the reorganization of Scartel LLC, which owned the Yota brand, it became a subsidiary of Megafon, and in 2013, a representative of the “great three” became the owner of 100% of the shares.
However, due to low reasons, there was no further clarification. Moreover, the 4G connections of Megafon and Yota were not connected, which in practice leaves operators with the remaining inviolability, as they cannot be used by services in regions for which the operator has no connection general permissions.
In the spring of 2014, it was announced the launch of a new federal operator of the steel industry, which will appear a few days later - at the same time. The company was owned by Megafon, and it was by no means costless, which had a negative impact on the increase in tariffs.
At the same time, Yota has changed its head - now it is Anatoly Smorgonsky, who replaced Denis Sverdlov at the planting, who was responsible for the installation. It’s fair to say about the Yota Devices company, as we know from the YotaPhone line of smartphones. At the beginning of 2011, Yota was created, which began developing devices for mobile communications, which it saw as a nearby company. Over the years, it has turned into one of the largest post-consumer companies in Russia, possessing a 4G network driven by its modems and routers.
Even before the reinstatement, Denis Sverdlov, who at that time had fallen foul of Yota, announcing plans to create a new 4G smartphone, was working on it right up until 2013, when the first YotaPhone hit the market.
Unfortunately, the ambitious project ended in failure: the number of sold copies of the first generation exceeded 30 thousand, the other - a little more than 150 thousand, and the third did not reach the Russian market, despite the announcement, so I was in the sickle of 2017.
