Doze 2.0
In line with the advancement in the use of devices, Google has updated its Doze charging technology. Vaughn was introduced in Android 6.0, the prote coped with its tasks poorly. The essence lies in the fact that the OS analyzes when the smartphone is being used, and when it is simply lying idle, for example, while sleeping. If the OS understands that the smartphone does not stand up for a long time, you can switch it to the sleep mode and thereby save battery.
Those who have already tried the released version of “Nougat” know that the lifespan of devices increases by 15-20% due to new technologies.
In Android 7.0, the accuracy of the Doze robot has been increased, and now the OS more accurately measures the hour when the smartphone is idle, and optimizes the system's operation according to the crash scenario.
API Vulkan
Vulkan is a kind of analogue of Metal on iOS, clicks improve graphics and productivity in games. This API allows developers to work directly with the graphics chip and provides access to a large number of effects on the distribution platform, reducing the effects of fire and others.
The Vulkan API will reduce the demand for the smartphone's graphics chip and increase productivity.
Until now, the Vulkan API was only available to users of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, but because of the low bandwidth, players did not dare to optimize their games for more than two smartphones. Now that Vulkan is available for all Android devices, users will be able to enjoy games with improved graphics.
Update at the background
Towards the announcement of Android 7.0, Google introduced the ability to update the system in the background. Now the system program update files are downloaded from the phone and installed after restart. As for programs, the new version will be launched after the program is restarted.
The system is also now updated on the phone and after re-installation the device will be installed seamlessly. The vast majority of the “Add-on Optimization” window has disappeared.
However, this function will not be available to everyone, and it will not be removed from Nexus devices. These devices are obviously not designed to work with this function, and will only be available in new devices.
Other innovations

How to install
Rest assured, the new version of the system is immediately available to Nexus line devices. The list of new ones includes Nexus 6, 5X, 6P, 9, Nexus Player, as well as the Google Pixel C tablet. Nexus 5 and 7 updates, unfortunately, will not be removed.

The JobScheduler development tool has become available, for example, it can now respond to such speeches as changing the content provider. 
5. Unicode 9 and new Emojis support
At the Google I/O 2016 conference, a small surprise was demonstrated for the smiley-loving people. Android Nougat supports Unicode 9 and also has nearly 70 new Emojis. They are mostly human-like and available in a variety of skin tones, and go up to 1500 Android OS. 
6. Google's special assistant
Having been working for over ten years in the sphere of understanding people’s habits and the intentions to destroy them, the American corporation is upgrading the special assistant Google Now with the help of Google Assistant. 8. Meeting programs

9. Virtual reality interface for Android N
Google is seriously pursuing virtual reality. In Android Nougat, the sound giant has created a virtual reality interface specifically for the needs of the eyepieces. A new Daydream platform for virtual reality content is also being developed. 
10. Full-fledged support for richness
If you place your finger on the screen at the end of the program, you will be able to move it to the visible area of the screen for further work with the program in the rich icon mode. When the smartphone is frozen, you can put it in multi-window mode by pressing the “Look” button for a long time. Then you can turn to the original screen and select another program to split the screen from the first. It is now possible to easily move information from one window to another on one screen.
Android Nougat in multi-window mode displays two programs, one behind the other or one above the other, next to the vertical or horizontal display. To change the size of the skin program, insert a split line. On Android N, Android TV and Nexus Player programs can continue to show content in the new mode, if you switch to working with other programs.
On tablets, printers can now turn on the “free shape” mode, which allows you to change the size of the skin area. If the manufacturer has introduced this function, the device will support the innovation. 
11. Packages notified
As of today, Android Nougat notifications are not shown by the date they appeared, but are sorted by device. Grouped messages from one program can be opened to get more information by swiping with two fingers or pressing a special button - thus, for example, you can look directly at the messages electronic sheet. 
12. Newswires for notifications
Taking the shortening of the notification as a basis, in Android 7 Nougat it is now possible to display the notification input directly in order without leaving the end of the notification, in which the notification or the electronic sheet is also completely burned out. Just pull down on the button with two fingers to open and scroll through the text, and then press the Slide button. 
13. The “Look” button is used to move to another program
With Nougat, switching from one active program to another can be done without touching the screen - pressing the “Look” button twice, which is an easy way to switch to one of the two remaining programs.
14. More options for customization
When you pull up the notification panel, remove one small set of flexible switches. It can be expanded to a full set of settings, which now includes new options, such as automatic rotation, timer, battery and other new shortcuts, plus easy to edit and rearrange options - similar to those on most Android apps. 
15. Night mode appears
I will not introduce a new function, it was in the Marshmallow OS before the Pouch version appeared, but now the night mode is an invisible part of Android Nougat. It changes the background of the interface to a darker or lighter color, so that the grid of eyes no longer “burns” at night against a bright white background.
16. Improved file browser
Start the file browser until you access the “Memory” section in the additional menu. However, now its file sharing capabilities have expanded to include not only copying, but also a manual menu for quick navigation. 
17. Display calibration
Like most software platforms, Android Nougat allows you to calibrate the screen colors. However, instead of the accepted names of the modes: “warm”, “cool”, “cinema” or “photo”, RGB controls are used for adjustment. 
18. Added support for Java 8
You won’t notice these internal changes, except Android Nougat brings Java 8 programming language onto the platform. The Android JIT compiler accepts a change in the boilerplate code, which is required at the same time as development. Naturally, some of the new Java features will only be available on Android Nougat and beyond.
19. Traffic savings
A new function that is expected in the over-budgets of distributors, the new Data Saver option allows you to speed up your local traffic with the addition of roaming, when the end of a financial period is approaching or there are few bills on the prepaid rakhunku. The Emergency Information menu allows you to enter information such as name, blood type, allergies and emergency contact information. Emergency services can view this information through the device lock screen.
