In this lesson we will learn to quickly adjust brightness and contrast without making permanent changes to the image. There is no possibility of further editing.
In addition to autotone, autocontrast and autocolor, which does not give the opportunity for fine tuning, Brightness/Contrast give manual control over the adjustment of the controls. You can adjust Brightness and Contrast in two ways in different ways: adjustment of the original image and creation of the surrounding ball.
The lack of adjustment to the original means that the changes become permanent, and the fragments flow directly onto the pixels of the image. This can lead to further editing, but there is no trace of it. It’s much easier to work with a twisted ball.
I am using Photoshop CC, and all the commands that you will learn in the tutorial are available in Photoshop CS6.

Lesson 1: Adding a corrugating ball to Brightness/ContrastThe first thing we need to do is to provide a copy of the image on new ball. Therefore, we can easily make changes without changing the original.
There are many ways to create a ball. First things first: Menu > Ball > New ball customization. Then select Brightness/Contrast:
You can also click on the Brightness/Contrast icon in Photoshop's Adjustment panel. The icon is located left-handed. The names of the icons will appear when you hover your mouse cursor over them:
If you don't see the settings panel on the screen, look in the window menu. There you will find a list of existing Photoshop panels. A checkmark next to the name of the panel means that the panel is already open, so you just didn’t check it (you have to do this in the Styles panel; in CC 2014 there are both Styles panels and Libraries).
If you do not check the box opposite the panel, select it so that it appears:
There is also a third way to add the ball that you are creating. Click on the icon of the New ball or the New ball at the bottom of the Balls panel:
Then select Brightness/Contrast:
Nothing can happen to the original. Then a new Brightness/Contrast Orb will appear above the images on the balls panel:
Working on the Brightness and Contrast of the original image, the program opens a window around it. In case of modification, adjustments appear in the adjustments panel, which was added to Photoshop version CS6. Here the Brightness and Contrast controls are displayed, the Autoadjust button and the Adjustment button are displayed:
First and foremost, whatever you need is the Auto-adjust button. In this version, Photoshop matches your images with collected photographs of professional photographers. And focusing on them, sets the brightness and contrast values:
In my setting, Brightness is set to 54, Contrast is set to 66. Of course, skin images are unique, so your settings will be different:

If you still want your images to look better after auto-adjustment, you can adjust them using the Brightness and Contrast sliders.
I like how Photoshop handles this, but I decided to slightly reduce the Brightness level to 45 and increase the Contrast to 75. I repeat again: this is a special look at the adjustment of the image. You can adjust your resentment parameters in the following way, as you like:

Just like in the static version of adjusting Brightness and Contrast, the ball that adjusts turns on the Vikorize wheel function. There is no need to adjust brightness/contrast in the same way as in Photoshop versions CS3. I haven’t spent a lot of time on this option, but for the sake of it, I’ll select this function:
It is highly recommended that Photoshop adjust images like the CS3 version, since Adobe has achieved the greatest amount of enhancement. Before CS3, everything that interfered with the adjustment of Brightness/Contrast ruined the image.
Like a short butt, having said “Vikoristuvat kolishne”, I will tighten the Brightness and Contrast controls all the way to the right, increasing their values to the maximum. As a result, the image is completely overexposed (and even with amazing color artifacts). All that Photoshop previously brought the light pixels to pure white, the dark ones to absolutely black:
To be clear, by turning on the “Vicorize Too Much” option and turning the parameters to maximum, the photo is also clearly overexposed, and most of the details can still be seen:
By turning the controls to the maximum left-handedly using the “Adjust too much” option, we will not just remove a dark photo – it will be completely black:
With this option enabled, the same adjustments will give a different result: more details will be visible. Today there is no sense in using this option (as a precaution). She’s been left behind for her chores, so it’s better to just give her peace:
You may have noticed that the adjustment panel does not interfere with the viewing function in the same way as in the original version of brightness/contrast. The Relook option allows you to instantly make changes to the image so that you can view the original image.
Qi means something that we cannot earn on a crooked ball? No! This simply means that there is simply no option to look at it, but there is a simple way to do it. Just click on the visibility icon of the ball at the bottom of the Power Panel in order to hide and disable the brightness/contrast ball:
You will get more images from the cob if you see it.
Click on the visibility icon again to press the red ball again and show the edited image. In this way, you can easily figure out how to correctly edit a photograph, quickly comparing two images:
The small eye icon on the authorities panel looks familiar. All this means that the same ball visibility icon is located on the Ball Panel. It stinks to end up with that very function. Having pressed on them, you will receive a crooked ball or make it visible:

Try using the automatic image correction functions for the first time. The menu Image – Correction has three commands.
The results of automatic processing may be far from ideal, especially often involving automatic color correction.
