HP 1410 printer two lights are blinking. Eliminate errors if the printer does not want to print

The komplays repairs Epson 1410 printers. Including, if two lights are blinking, it does not pick up paper well, prints in stripes, stripes.

If the Paper and Drop lights are blinking rapidly, this is a fatal error. To find out what the malfunction is, you need to know the error code. Only then can we act. This code can be viewed, for example, by running the Adjustment Program.

Epson 1410 repair prices

  • bad printing - head cleaning 2500-3000 rubles. depending on the degree of clogging of the nozzles, in the presence of CISS +500 rubles;
  • replacement head 15,000 rubles. along with work
  • repair of paper feed 2000-3500 rubles.
  • repair of the purge unit - 3000 rubles.
  • cleaning a flooded printer from ink 1500 rub.
  • double vision when printing 1500 - 2000 rubles.

Engine error 0x02

An Epson 1410 printer came in for repair, which stopped through a page with an error 0x02 Motor drive fatal error (CR) - two indicators blinked quickly - a drop and a paper. The error indicates a problem with the carriage motor. Engine lubrication has reduced the error rate. I had to replace the engine. The engine from Epson L800, T50, P50 is suitable.

The cause of the error is the wear of the PS445PD15205BR motor. Usually brushes and bearings wear out.

The price of replacing the carriage motor Epson 1410 3000 rubles.

After replacing the carriage motor, error 0x02 stopped appearing. However, the printer printed with line skips and horizontal defects. The nozzle test showed that the head was working properly - all nozzles were printed perfectly.

After thorough cleaning of two encoders, the print quality was restored - the printer stopped skipping lines. The print defects are gone.

Epson 1410 error 0x52 0x51

When these errors occur, two lights on the Epson 1410 will flash quickly at the same time.

0x52 CR could not be locked - the carriage is not locked

0x51 CR could not be unlocked Carriage cannot be unlocked

The reason is that the white plastic head stopper in the parking unit does not move due to a broken spring that pushes it up and blocks the carriage.

Here is the parking lot with a white stopper on top.

The replaced spring is located here.

To take it off, you need to shoot a lot. First, remove the complex mechanism for controlling the CD tray. Then it is very difficult to assemble it.

Then remove the metal bracket.

We disconnect all cables.

The knot itself is very complex. There are no springs for sale. You can try to make it yourself. Repair price 4500 rubles.

PW sensor error 0x60

When PW sensor error occurs, a fatal error occurs and the printer stops.

The paper width sensor is located on the bottom of the carriage. It is very difficult to get to it - you need to remove the carriage.

The sensor itself is located under the cover and is connected to the encoder sensor board, which is located behind the carriage under the cover.

On the back side is the encoder sensor board.

On the left is the connector for connecting the paper width sensor (PW sensor).

To get to the PW sensors and the encoder sensor board, you need to disassemble the carriage lifting units from both sides, not forgetting about the synchronization of the gears (red marks in the photo), remove the carriage belt shaft, carriage shaft. When assembling the Epson 1410 printer, it is very important to set the gears at 3 marks, as shown in the photo below. Otherwise, there will necessarily be critical printer errors.

The reason for error 0x60 (PW sensor) can be:

  • in the sensor itself, its pollution;
  • poor contact of the loop in the encoder sensor board, contamination of the encoder sensor board;
  • motherboard.

The cost of repairing an Epson 1410 with a PW sensor error is 4000 rubles.

Epson 1410 L1800 L800 error 0xFB

0xFB is a PF motor drive error. The error appears after turning on, one minute after the printer starts initializing. It stands for PF (Paper Feed) motor drive error.

Possible reasons:

  • pF engine problems
  • defective or dirty PF encoder sensor
  • contamination of the PF encoder
  • main control board

Solution: clean the PF unit, check and replace the engine, if this is the case.

Epson 1410 canister overflow

When the adsorber, the absorbent pad is overfilled, all indicators - drops and papers - flash quickly.

What to do if the canister overflows? Firstly, perform a “diaper reset”, and secondly, check the condition of the adsorber. If the pads are not overfilled with ink, then you can do nothing further. But when the “diapers” are completely filled, it is possible to draw the waste ink out into the bottle.

The cost of dumping the adsorber is 1500 rubles.

Outputting ink outside costs 700 rubles.

Epson 1410 Paper Feed Repair

If the Epson 1410 does not pick up paper well, the problem may be in several places. First, wear, contamination or feed roller.

The photo shows that the grab roller on the right is “bald”, the tread is worn out.

Secondly, the separation roller is jammed.

And thirdly, a breakage of a compound gear on the paper pick-up shaft.

Replace both rollers to solve the paper pick problem.

If the gear is broken, then change it too.

The printer has an overflow sump counter - "pampers". Blocking the printer is necessary so that the ink accumulating from the cleaners in the "diaper" does not flow onto the table. It is assumed that the printer will be unlocked and the "pampers" (felt pad) will be replaced at the service center.
But you can do it yourself, and it is not necessary to change the diaper the first 2 times, and later you just need to rinse and dry it.
In order to rinse the diaper, you need to disassemble the printer, remove the diaper and rinse it with water, and then dry it dry.
To reset the "diaper" counter you will need a special service program.
Epson two lights blink at the same time
In some cases, you can reset the pampers using the buttons on the printer control panel:
Turn on the printer with the "PAPER" and "INK" buttons pressed simultaneously, after the printer blinks with all the indicators, press the "PAPER" button and hold it down for 10 seconds (depending on the printer model), after that it will blink all the indicators again and turn off the printer ... The "pampers" counter has been reset.
In some printers, you need to hold down the INK button rather than the PAPER button.
You can try both.

At the service center, specialists will replace the diaper (either entirely or fill in a new filler), reset the counter and return it to the owner. But you can use a special program that simply resets the value of this counter. For some printer models, there are special "secret" codes that allow you to reset the counter by pressing the printer buttons in a specific sequence. Both programs and sequences can be easily found on the Internet.

Alyarm! Despite the fact that the counter will be reset to zero, the diaper will still be full. So you should use this method only if you need to print URGENTLY and if you are about to:
contact the service center about changing the diaper
replace the filler yourself (which is quite difficult on some models)
put the catheter into a special jar
About the last point: a special tube comes to the diaper, through which waste ink flows into it. Active users of CISS cut this tube from the diaper, build it up with a dropper and bring the end out of the printer body. Such a tube (by the same analogy) is popularly called a catheter and is lowered into an ordinary jar, which needs to be drained from time to time. It is unlikely that you would dare to do this with a regular home printer that you use a couple of times a month, since you will need to disassemble the printer.

A printer is a device for printing digital data. Today, almost everyone has such a device at home. There are many different models. They are divided both by the principle of printing (laser, inkjet, matrix) and by functionality (photo printing, support for various formats, preprocessing, double-sided printing).

No matter how modern your device is, everyone can face problems. Many of them can be solved on their own without contacting support, especially if there is a software error.

Printer gives error

There are several reasons for errors related to the printer or printing, and they can be divided into two categories.

The first is software:

The second reason for the occurrence of errors is hardware, which are directly related to the device itself, such as:

In fact, there are many more system messages from a modern printer. But everything, one way or another, is related to refilling / replacing the cartridge or jammed paper, as well as overheating of the device.

Most problems with a non-working cartridge arise after refilling it, since many of them are protected by the manufacturer in the form of special counters and sensors.

Checking OS and device settings

If you are faced with the fact that the device does not display any messages, and nothing happens when you send a file to print, then before contacting the service center with the question: “What to do the printer stopped printing, check the connection settings of the device, as well as the operating systems.

To do this, the first step is to check whether the device is correctly connected to the computer and whether the operating system sees it.

To do this, you should:

  • open the task manager and find the required device;
  • it should be in the list and correspond to the name of your device;
  • opposite to it there should be no signs of an erroneous connection, conflict or disconnection (yellow exclamation mark or red cross).

Now you need to check the correctness of the settings of the device itself.

If printing does not start, there may be several problems:

To check this data, you need to go to the "Control Panel" and select the item "Devices and Printers". Here you can change the default device for printing (by right-clicking the menu and activating the corresponding checkbox). In the properties of the device - check the correctness of the settings.

If you cannot connect to a network machine, it is best to contact the remote computer user or network administrator for assistance.

Is the driver installed?

The first time you connect any device to your computer, you need to install drivers. In the case of printers, it is better to install not only the driver, but also the program for working with the device. The software is almost always supplied on a disk with the device and also contains instructions in several languages.

Occasionally, in expensive models, the software is provided on a USB stick. To check if the driver is installed correctly, you need to go to the "Device Manager" of the Windows operating system.

To do this, you should:

  • left-click on "My Computer" on the desktop or "Computer" in the "Start" menu and call "Properties";
  • select "Dispatcher ..." in the menu on the left;
  • check the list for your device.

The machine must be in the Printers & Scanners category. Its name should correspond exactly or approximately to the name of your device (if the driver is universal, or the software and hardware part has not changed from the previous model).

For example, if you have a Canon Pixma MP 280 model, in the task manager it may appear as Canon Pixma MP 200 or MP 2.

Video: Printer Does Not Print

Print queue busy

If you are sure that the printer is working but not printing, you need to check if the print queue is busy. Most modern devices with fully installed software will display this error by themselves. However, this does not always happen.

In this case, you need to check the print queue yourself. This can be done by calling the driver program from the tray (the icon near the clock). However, this method is not always suitable for those who use the device over a network.

The most common print queue problem is encountered by users on large networks when working with a shared printer. In this case, one task can consist of many parts. For example, if it is very large, the program could divide it itself in order not to overload the internal memory of the device.

In addition, corporate practice shows that very often there are cases when one task did not complete completely due to errors (paper ran out or jammed, printer overheated), and another one and another was sent.

Depending on the model, the device may not pay attention to unfinished tasks and continue to work until its memory is completely clogged with such fragments. Or do not immediately let the work continue.

There can be two ways out:

What to do if the printer does not print after refilling the cartridge

Users who have tried to refill the cartridge, clean it, or soak it in a special solution, often face the following problem: the printer has stopped printing, what should I do now?

Refilling a cartridge is a complex operation containing many nuances that users do not take into account, so they then contact a service center with more serious problems.

The thing is that each device requires an individual approach when it comes to refueling. The first step is to find out if the cartridge is equipped with special protections and chips, read if there is a page counter or other clever manufacturer's option on it.

In addition, when refueling the cartridge yourself, it is very important to take care not to "air" the ink supply system in the case of inkjet printers. And on the laser device - do not get dirty, scratch the drum or knock down the spring that fixes the gears.

In any case, if after refilling the printer works, but does not print, you need to contact professionals, to the workshop, so as not to spoil it completely. Cartridge prices are sometimes half the cost of the entire unit, so be very careful when refueling.

Sometimes ink cartridges dry out. Therefore, after refilling, be sure to print a few pages to check. If this does not work, the cartridge requires soaking in a special solution.

Most problems with the printer arise from software errors, but they are easy to deal with on your own without going to a computer workshop. If errors persist, you should contact a specialist.

When you need to refill a cartridge, you must carefully study all the information and strictly follow the instructions, and for printers with inkjet printing it is generally better to install a special ink supply system. Thanks to this, most problems can be avoided.

As recently as yesterday, the faithful Epson R270 printer stopped printing and began blinking with light bulbs on the “drop” and “paper” buttons. I already knew what it was diaper... At some point, every inkjet printer refuses to work for this reason, even when using original cartridges. If you are using CISS, you will get this error faster. If using regular cartridges, get it a little later. But if a diaper exists (and it does exist), then someday it will overflow. You can take the printer to the service, pay money (probably a lot) and have it repaired.

You can bring the printer back to life yourself.

Now a little theory. Each inkjet printer has a special sump for waste ink that appears when cleaning the print heads. Structurally, this sump is a special container filled with absorbent material such as cotton wool. Popularly, this container is informally called a diaper, because its purpose is approximately the same as that of a regular baby diaper. The capacity of this sump is not infinite, therefore there is a special software counter in the printer that counts the number of cleanings and is called working counter... As soon as the counter value coincides with the value specified by the manufacturer, the printer will refuse to print, all the lights will start blinking and will require an immediate service call.

Printer manufacturers are very careful guys. They don't want their home printer to puddle waste ink underneath, so they set the maximum value of the working counter with a margin. That is, the diaper can still serve, but the printer requires service.

So you should use this method only if you need to print URGENTLY and if you're coming soon:

  • contact the service center about changing the diaper
  • replace the filler yourself (which is quite difficult on some models)
  • put the catheter into a special jar

About the last point: a special tube comes to the diaper, through which waste ink flows into it. Active users of CISS cut this tube from the diaper, build it up with a dropper and bring the end out of the printer body. Such a pipe (by the same analogy) is popularly called catheter and drops into a regular jar, which needs to be drained from time to time. It is unlikely that you would dare to do this with a regular home printer that you use a couple of times a month, since you will need to disassemble the printer.

Now about the reset itself. The program that resets the working counter is called resetter (ie "dropper"). This is an unofficial program and the printer manufacturer will probably void your warranty for its use, although usually the pampers overflow after the end of the warranty period - two or three years later. In order to find such a program, just type in the make and model of your printer into the search and add about the diaper reset. In my case it was "Epson R270 diaper reset".

You may need to try several of these programs. For example, I was unable to reset the diaper with the program SSC Service Utility which I use for heavy head cleaning. But the program helped me with this PrintHelpwhich can download from the developer's site. It is free and fits most Epson models, but as I understand it, you need to get some kind of reset code for newer models.

Pampers can be of any shape. In large A3 printers, the diaper is larger, in home printers - a small capacity.

If you are using CISS, it is best to put the catheter into the jar. If you rarely (2-3 times a month) print photos and documents, then you can safely reset the counter 2-3 times without replacing the diaper, because the ink in it dries out over time. In any case, you can accurately reset the diaper counter once without any consequences. But remember, the diaper can really overflow and fill up not only the table, but also the electronics of the printer, which will certainly ruin the printer.
