Disposal of household appliances. How to change old equipment to new? Utilization programs from Eldorado, Technosila and DNS

Since 2010, the chain of stores of household and computer technology "Eldorado" carries out actions for recycling household appliances... This type of promotional activity of the company is designed for customers over 18 years old who want to get a discount when exchanging old models of goods for new ones.

Already in the first year of such a campaign, it was clear: marketers hit the mark. A huge number of those wishing to exchange old refrigerators and televisions for new ones responded to the company's calls. In the first year, about 900 thousand units of equipment were disposed of. Depending on its condition, buyers received up to 20% discounts on the purchase of a new product. Fashion has changed: now no one watches one TV for twenty years. Nowadays, consumers change their equipment much more often, trying to keep up with progress and get the most modern models of cameras or microwaves. But no one wants to litter an apartment with scrapped refrigerators, TVs or system units. This is why consumers love stocks so much.

In 2016, the campaign for the disposal of old household appliances will continue. From April 8 to May 5, you can throw away your used refrigerators, televisions, washing machines, laptops and computers, beauty and health products, such as hair dryers. The terms of the promotion are as follows:

  • when exchanging old technology discounts of one, two or three thousand rubles or more can be provided for a new one;
  • export of large used equipment is free of charge, while the buyer must prepare and dismantle the products himself, in addition, the export is carried out only from the same address to which the delivery is made;
  • the discount is provided not for the entire product, but only for a similar product from a close group;
  • only a complete set of equipment is accepted, and not its individual parts;
  • when buying new equipment for an amount over 17 thousand rubles, its delivery is free;
  • in the case of returning a new product, the buyer is given the amount of money actually paid by him, and not the total cost of the product without a discount.

For some consumers, disposal of old equipment in 2016 was a real salvation. Lonely pensioners and women, unprotected strata of the population were able to clean their apartments of large household rubbish in exchange for more compact samples of goods. Some buyers were able to replace a lot in the house: each household appliance was exchanged for a similar one. The number of exchanged goods was not limited. But it seems to some consumers that the range of products participating in the promotion was too limited, and the models were not the most modern.

However, the contribution of the company and its consumers to the country's ecology is impressive. The collected old equipment by the forces of the UKO company was sorted, disassembled, sent to the press or to the landfills. Plastic chips and briquettes from the destruction of devices are used in road paving, in construction to compact concrete, rather than contaminating landfills in the country's fields. And the oldest and most interesting models of appliances became exhibits in the museum opened by the company, where everyone can get acquainted with the history of the development of household appliances.

Household appliances have long become an integral part of the life of all Russians. However, technical progress does not stand still, and new items appear in stores almost every day. Naturally, many have a desire to become the owner of new, more functional equipment, but here the question immediately arises: what to do with the old one?

In principle, one of the options here is a dacha, where you can take a TV or refrigerator of venerable age. Many children used to give their old mobile phones to their parents when they bought new ones for them. However, all this is only a temporary way out of the situation - this or that thing will anyway someday either turn out to be hopelessly outdated, or lose its original qualities, that is, it will break.

At the same time, do not forget that almost all such products contain plastic and a certain amount of non-ferrous metals. Therefore, simply throwing out obsolete equipment in a landfill is not the best the best option... In Western countries, this problem has long been resolved - there are enterprises that specialize in the disposal of household appliances. It is to them that they take down all their old stuff.

However, in Russian Federation the situation is different. According to statistics, here no more than 4 percent of used devices are handed over to household appliances recycling points, while the rest is simply thrown away. Moreover, it is often simply placed in an ordinary garbage container in the yard. This approach is fundamentally wrong, but people simply have no other choice, since an apartment is still not a warehouse, and there are very few companies involved in this.

In 2017, a state program for the disposal of household appliances began to operate in the Russian Federation. However, while talking about it as a solution to the problem is clearly premature. The state offers to take away not all equipment for disposal for free, but only washing machines and refrigerators, the service life of which is more than 15 years.

Large retail chains came to the rescue

As mentioned above, one of the biggest reasons for replacing old appliances is buying new ones. In 2017, Russians have long ago got rid of the Soviet mentality, when the TV was bought for 15-20 years. Many can afford to buy a new model every year - it is clear that this is not the bulk of the country's population, but nevertheless.

Manufacturers, striving to win as many buyers as possible, release at least one new model per year, and in most cases a whole scattering of new products appears on the shelves. In addition, in 2017, they can change their old equipment for new citizens with average incomes who made the last such acquisitions 5-6 years ago.

Naturally, they would like to do more than just buy something new. The question of how to get rid of old household appliances is still relevant. And this is where large Russian retail chains came to the rescue, offering their own actions for the disposal of used TVs, washing machines, refrigerators, and so on. Let's see what conditions retailers offer to Russians today.

"El Dorado". In a given retail chain, the amount of discounts provided in exchange for old household appliances depends on the category of the product, and not on the purchase amount. As a rule, such promotions are held here 1-2 times a year under various names, but the essence of their buyers is quite clear. You can change almost any type of household appliances, while the discount provided by the network ranges from 1 to 20 percent. In particular, "Eldorado" accepts the following equipment:

  • video and audio - TVs, stereos, players and so on;
  • digital - cameras, tablets, smartphones, mobile phones;
  • small and large household - juicers, multicooker, vacuum cleaners, meat grinders, food processors, hoods, gas stoves, washing machines, air conditioners, boilers, refrigerators.

In this case, the degree of damage or breakdown, in fact, does not matter here. Another advantage of Eldorado's household appliances disposal campaigns is their categorical nature. This is indeed a very significant plus in the eyes of potential buyers. It's all about what a person can bring, for example, mobile phone, and get a discount when buying any product from this category - a camera, a tablet, and so on. When ordering the delivery of new equipment to your home, the old one will be picked up directly on the spot, that is, you will not have to carry it anywhere. It should be noted that the retail chain does not accept accessories and consumables.

At the present time in "Eldorado" just such an action, called "utilization", is being carried out. It started on September 29 and will run until October 26. According to the terms of the promotion, everyone who hands over old equipment to a retail chain store can receive on a bonus card funds in the amount of 20 to 30 percent of the value of the goods or a discount on certain types of equipment.

You should pay attention to one important point. Not the entire assortment of goods presented in retail outlets takes part in the action. For more detailed information, it is recommended to contact a sales consultant. A bonus or discount is provided only if the old equipment is handed over in full compliance with the current rules. Their size can be found directly on the price tag.

Parts, components or parts of old technology cannot be accepted. Only the main kit should be brought as junk that can participate in the promotion. Goods handed over by the buyer to the store cannot be returned. If the buyer exchanges system unit from a computer or laptop, he is allowed to transfer all the data stored there to a new product - for this you need to contact a technical specialist at a particular outlet. Information on the terms of this service should be checked on the spot.

"M Video". This retail chain also periodically holds campaigns for the disposal of household appliances, helping people get rid of things that, in fact, only litter the apartment. The first time a retailer launched this kind of promotion was in 2016. Then it lasted 35 days, and received a lot of friendly responses from customers, and deservedly so. There is nothing surprising in this - people simply appreciated the opportunity to get rid of unnecessary things without unnecessary hassle. In addition to the fact that the delivery of the purchase and the removal of old equipment by the network employees is free.

On September 27, another such action started at M.Video - it will end on October 31, 2017. It is very easy to take advantage of this offer. You just need to choose a product participating in the promotion and inform the seller about your desire to take part in the free recycling program. It should be noted that its terms do not apply to products presented in the online store. You can exchange equipment for a new one by contacting any of the traditional outlets of the chain.

However, there are certain restrictions. In particular, products of such brands as Loewe, Smeg and Miele, as well as other brands belonging to the “substandard” category, do not participate in the promotion. If the buyer orders free disposal, then the discounts on the kit are no longer valid.

You can exchange any product, regardless of the purchase. For example, when purchasing a TV, you can order recycling washing machine... At the same time, before the visit of company representatives, one should prepare in a certain way. In particular, old equipment intended for removal must be turned off and dismantled. The terms of the promotion also apply to goods purchased in installments under all existing lending programs. At the same time, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities cannot become its participants. Many Russians have already taken advantage of this offer, and judging by the majority of reviews on the web, they were satisfied.

Similar promotions for replacing old household appliances with new ones are in effect in other large retail chains. Above were described two of the most typical examples for retailers. Others may have some slight differences, while in general the principle is the same everywhere: we give away the old product, we receive the new one on preferential terms. More detailed information can be obtained directly at the outlet - sales consultants will not only tell everything, but also suggest the most optimal option for you.
